Home Area Pumpkin Hill ; Helen lives in one of the abandoned, run down houses that are scattered throughout Pumpkin Hill. Regardless of how eerie the atmosphere on the hill is, Helen loves nothing more than to wander around late at night , and make her simple abode a bit more... cluttered. She loves Pumpkin Hill, and wouldn't even trade a limb to move anywhere else if she had to .
Toy Rocking Horse - Helen has a thing for collecting all sorts of knick knacks; She was made by a french craftsman before the start of World War I as a gift for his son, before he grew older and had to leave for the war front.
Occupation Craftswoman; With nothing much to do with her free time, Helen works as a craftswoman. She'll make anything, as long as it's practical and as long as you don't get on her bad side. She might stick a needle in your eye if you do
History Helen was created as a gift for a French craftsman's son for his fifth birthday. The boy, Emile, loved Helen dearly, and he would spend days playing with the toy, making sure that no one else got to play with his Helen. As he grew older, Emile began to attend lessons with a private tutor and ended up not having any time to play with Helen. Soon, she was gathering up dust in the corner of his room, and it seemed as if she became a ghost.
But from time to time she would receive a smile and a mischievous wink from her Emile, and she would be happy again because she wasn't forgotten! However, as Emile grew older, he became interested in other things, like the art of war, and his duty to his country. When he hit the age of 18, he immediately enlisted in the army to fight for France, and soon she was truly forgotten, or so it seemed.
The night before Emile was supposed to head out to the fronts, he spent the entire night crying and hugging Helen, because he wasn't a child anymore, he was a man, and that meant that he had to let go of his lovely Helen who was always there for him, as a reminder of all the things that made him happy when he was younger.
Once he left, clad in his green uniform with his hair all tidy and a brave mask on his face, Helen was long forgotten. Emile's father passed away shortly after the start of the war, and she never saw her Emile ever again.
It just so happened that she was tossed away into a pile of junk and garbage, left there to die (as if she could die, but if someone didn't see her , she would've certainly lost a leg on more than one occasion!), gathering dust, surviving the rain, and eventually the bombs that ravaged the country.
Although she was moved around quite a bit - children would often pick her up and take her into their homes in order to have some sort of entertainment to take their minds off of the war - she never truly stayed in one place, and she was tired of being abused and neglected by the selfish children who wouldn't let their younger siblings play. So one day, after being hauled off to yet another unfamiliar place, she decided to run away.
Well, she planned on running away. Until that is, a bird perched on the windowsill with something in its beak - it was a letter ! When she read the letter, she had decided that she would make her way to Toy Isle, where maybe she could start again and learn how this odd thing called love worked.
Personality Helen is a bit of a pessimist, and doesn't trust others very well. She prefers to wander around aimlessly and talk to plants, or well, actually she prefers to hoard little trinkets of some sort, and will practically bite someone's arm off if they tried to steal any one of her trinkets. Although she may seem a bit of a mean spirit, underneath the skepticism, she's a kind hearted person who simply wants to have a connection with someone. but if they won't get off her lawn then someone's getting a smackin'
Additional Info Besides hoarding various trinkets and doo - dads like cloths and rocks and snippets of poetry or thimbles and needles and all that jazz, Helen loves to cook. If only she had someone to cook for - She's also a sucker for a good book, so she'll probably warm quicker if you dangle a book on a hook and wait for her to grab the bait!
- Helen's favorite thing to do in her free time is to make little charms and bracelets.
- Whenever she's bored , she likes to fish out that ouja board that she found somewhere where she can't remember exactly where (probably in the attic of her rickety abode) and tries to talk to the ghosts that supposedly haunt her house.
-She's had quite a few conversations with them, and it's been quite swell. (It might've been those crackers that she ate which caused her to have a upset stomach and then that ouja board just moved itself!)
-Helen has a fondness for crackers and brie cheese. Or any sort of cheese in general.
-She also hates crows, because they'd peck at her scarecrows, and she worked hard on them !
Send a note, or ask for my skype name if you'd like to RP <3! dA's chats seem to hate me at the moment ;w;!''
XD I think I went a little bit overboard with her history, but I feel that it makes her a bit interesting. Thank you though ;w;! <3 I appreciate your comments and the favorites ;w; It always brightens up my day ;w;!
